There’s something magical about a perfect beach—where the sun warms your skin and the waves either energize you or lull you into relaxation, Over the years, I’ve been fortunate enough to visit some of the most breathtaking beaches around the world, each offering its own personality unique slice of paradise. From the sun-drenched shores of Mykonos to the lush, tropical vibes of Hawaii or Puerto RIco, these are the beaches that have captured my heart.

Lanikai Beach in Kailua, Hawaii

Lanikai Beach in Kailua, Hawaii

Nestled on the windward coast of Oahu, Lanikai Beach is the epitome of tropical perfection. You’ll see it at the top of many beach lists as it’s already world-renowned for its powdery white sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters. This serene beach is ideal for swimming, kayaking, and snorkeling and while I was there we had the pleasure of meeting some sea turtles that popped in to munch on the seaweed floating around us.  The stunning views of the Mokulua Islands add an extra touch of paradise, making it a fan favorite to anyone who visit.. While it’s not the easiest to get to (parking is very sparse and expect a good walk), it’s undoubtedly worth it.

Paradise Beach in Mykonos, Greece

Paradise Beach, located on the picturesque island of Mykonos, is a vibrant hotspot for both beach lovers and partygoers. Famous for its lively atmosphere, this beach boasts golden sands, crystal-clear waters, and an array of beachfront bars and clubs. The only way to experience this beach is to rent a pair of sun-loungers and get drinks and food brought to you on demand while you chat it up with other beach-goers from all over the world. You may go home a bit poorer, but the memories will be priceless.

Zuma Beach Malibu

Zuma Beach in Malibu, California

Zuma Beach, one of Malibu’s largest and most popular beaches, stretches for miles along the scenic Pacific Coast Highway. With its wide sandy shores, gentle waves, Zuma Beach is ideal for sunbathing, beach volleyball or even hiking (Point Dume) . The beach offers restroom facilities and ample parking, lifeguard stations, and picnic areas. While you don’t see many people in the water (the Pacific is cold on this coast), you’ll see hundreds if not thousands enjoying this beach, year round, which is the secret of SoCal’s perfect weather. I may be partial, considering having lived L.A. for 14 years, however whether you’re getting a workout in,, catching some rays, or enjoying a beachside picnic, Zuma Beach offers a quintessential Southern California beach experience.
